The Fake Lawyer is an American stage play by Richard Landis that takes place over a period from 1986 to 1998. What’s it about you may ask? It’s about a defamation case, and more. It touches on lawyers, politics, baseball, Veterans, civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, and immigration. On another level, it’s about the second half of the 20th century struggle for truth and justice for all under our Constitution. Ultimately, it’s about a character’s fatal flaw…. Watch this space!

Readings have started . . . Set in Maryland and Washington, DC, the two act play features six Black characters (four men and two women) and two White male characters. I’m planning more table readings and looking for other opportunities in the Baltimore and DC area. If you’d be interested in participating–or know someone who might–I’d love to hear from you.
